From beginner to advanced and all those in between Kemur horses and ponies welcome 46 campers each week. We have over 60 horses and ponies, of a variety of size and skill level.
After reviewing the notes on camper application and chatting with each camper on Sunday evening we carefully choose a horse or pony suitable to their level. Riders will meet their mount Monday morning at which time we ensure they are a good match and in a riding group appropriate to their level.
Throughout the course of the week, each rider has the opportunity to develop a special partnership with their horse or pony, learning to work together as a team both on the ground and while riding. The bond quickly developed between our horses and campers is truly remarkable making it hard for girls to leave their new best friend at the end of the week.
Lessons are focused on building each student’s confidence and skill as a rider in a safe environment. Our staff takes pride in planning creative lessons for each unique group of riders to meet their goals. Camper’s benefit from their instructor’s many years of riding, showing extensive horse knowledge.
